Lancaster's history

The vagaries of life brought Georges Wurz, an industrialist and Lancaster pilot in the Second World War, to Monaco. There he met Dr. Eugene Frezzati, a chemist specialized in cosmetics. Inspired by their new beginnings the two men started to plan their future, a future based on luxurious beauty products which would surpass everything ever done before. Then, they founded their company and named it Lancaster.

The two partners decided to build the Lancaster factory in Monaco. Early successes such as Crème Embryonnaire, Serum Tissulaire and le Lait pour les Mains helped to rapidly build up the reputation of the Lancaster Brand. After firmly establishing its position in the French Market, Lancaster spread to other European countries and even as far as Asia and the Middle East.

The principality palace designated Lancaster the 'appointed supplier of Her Serene Highness Grace of Monaco'.
